DESCRIPTION
A well-established manufacturer of advanced bone growth stimulators is expanding rapidly and seeking a strong sales leader to oversee the Central US region. This hands-on Area Sales Director role will manage a mix of direct W2 reps and distributor partners while continuing to scale both channels. You’ll drive growth through coaching and developing your team, building out distribution networks, and supporting key spine and orthopedic accounts. The position offers significant autonomy, the ability to live anywhere in the territory, and strong earning potential ($170K base + $300K at plan with overachievement upside). If you have proven experience managing both direct reps and 1099 distributors, have successfully built and scaled teams, and thrive in a fast-moving environment, this is an excellent leadership opportunity with a company that has strong products and momentum.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of sales management experience with a track record of hiring, coaching, and developing both W2 reps and 1099 distributors.
- Minimum 15+ total years in medical device sales, with spine or orthopedic experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success building teams and managing multi-state territories.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Must live within the Central US territory (MI, IL, KS, MO, WI, OH, KY, Minneapolis, Indianapolis).
- 75% travel expected.
